 GEO :

The GÉO reverse shoulder prosthesis is a modular prosthesis system comprising two parts:

- The glenoid part comprises a so-called Géo-glenoid component, attached to the scapula, and a hemispherical part, so-called Geo-sphere component.
The Geo-glenoid component is attached to the scapula by means of 4 screws and a central fixation peg having a single length and diameter.

- The humeral part comprises a diaphyseal stem, an epiphyseal part, so-called epiphysis, and a cup-insert made of polyethylene moulded into a metal shell. The diaphyseal stem and the epiphysis are coupled together by a fixation screw. The epiphysis and the cup-insert are locked together by means of a metal morse taper, so as to prevent generation of wear particles which can lead to early osteolysis. The stem and the epiphysis are available both in cemented and uncemented versions.
